V-Sure and sustainability
Vosschemie Benelux | V-sure participates in Voka's VCDO charter
At V-Sure, we follow the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to help continue the transition to a sustainable society. In this section you will be able to follow the progress of our goals within the Voka Charter Sustainable Business and the 17 SDGs. This is going to be a year-long, exciting process with different stakeholders. We are immersing ourselves in this with readings, podcasts, working groups and networks that inspire us to do better and better.
Not alone, but all together for a more beautiful, better world.
Claudia De Moor
Corporate Sustainability
The VCDO provides a framework for companies to translate sustainable ambitions into practice, and to encourage companies to challenge themselves to go a step further in sustainability. The sustainability actions are linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the United Nations. Embedding the 17 sustainability goals of the United Nations in the VCDO has increased the significance of this recognition even further. After a positive final evaluation (after one year) by an independent committee, the efforts are rewarded with the sustainability certificate. Sustainability is more important than ever to Vosschemie Benelux | V-sure. How we put sustainability into practice, we will tell you as we go along on this page.
What is the VCDO?
The Voka Charter Duurzaam Ondernemen, or VCDO for short, is a guidance program of Voka in which companies build their sustainability policy step by step with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework. To obtain the certificate, at least 10 actions are realized annually across the various sustainability domains. An independent evaluation committee assesses whether the actions have sufficient impact, whether there are sufficient links with the core business and whether they have been realized SMART.
Sustainability is more than ever central to Vosschemie Benelux | V-sure. How we put sustainability into practice, we will tell you as we go along on this page.
Since 2023 we have been working on sustainability in a more structured way and have successfully implemented several actions.
In 2024, we received the label of sustainable enterprise for this.
In our organization, the main focus is on the following SDGs.

In the meantime, we have conducted a stakeholder analysis. We identified the needs and expectations of internal and external stakeholders. Which stakeholders have a high significance or influence and which stakeholders have a low significance or influence.
This formed the starting point for the dual materiality matrix (see illustration).
In 2025, we will be particularly committed to innovation and infrastructure!

We work with 3 important pillars in our sustainability policy: social, economic and an ecological component. Every year we set ourselves at least 10 ambitious goals.
People
It is important to us that all our employees, freelancers, job applicants, language pact participants and students have a safe, warm and secure workplace. Everyone with the right attitude and the right values is welcome in our family business, regardless of faith, origin or gender.
In 2024, we started with an initial stakeholder analysis. The intention is to repeat this at regular intervals. In this way, we stay in touch and maintain a good overview of our actions in order to respond to them.
Environment - our planet
It is not always easy to work in the chemical industry. Nevertheless, we try to do it as well as possible. We will develop a purchasing policy in 2025 so that we can continue to ensure that our partners also respect the environment. We limit CO2 emissions wherever possible. We share our 57 years of knowledge with everyone so that some of this knowledge is lost. We communicate the possibilities with videos, processing sheets and workshops, and the safety regulations via our website, our own manuals and guides.
Under the direction of Marc De Moor, an expert and court assessor for composite materials, new developments are being made and alternative, more natural products, product methods and construction kits are being sought in order to minimise the impact on the environment.
Governance - Partnerships
Within V-Sure | Vosschemie Benelux, Claudia De Moor is responsible for establishing partnerships with cities and municipalities, various organisations and social causes, among others. Where possible, she brings entrepreneurs and organisations together with schools and young people in order to convey the message of Vosschemie Benelux, but also the entire principle of sustainability. We are not sitting on the sidelines, but are taking on a pioneering role in the region of Lier, Mechelen-Kempen, Antwerp and V-sure internationally.
In 2025, V-Sure | Vosschemie Benelux will continue to participate in the VCDO (Vlaams Charta Duurzaam Ondernemen van Voka). In this way, the continuous commitment of Marc and Claudia De Moor and the entire V-Sure team to sustainable business practices is monitored and guaranteed.

JOL Day
23 September 2024
Vosschemie Benelux|V-Sure celebrates a new milestone in sustainability! We are pleased to announce that we will participate in JOL Day for the 2nd time on 23 September. During the JOL Day we invite 90 young people from Lierse to get to know our team, our products, the magic of chemistry during a workshop and our sustainability story. The JOL Day is the result of collaboration with the city of Lier, L4business, the schools of Lier and 400 young people. We were able to achieve this through targeted knowledge-sharing and collaboration activities and the commitment of our entire team. At Vosschemie Benelux|V-Sure, we remain committed to a more sustainable future and are grateful for the support of our employees, partners and young people. Let's move towards even more sustainable action!
The JOL Day is dedicated to SDG 4 ‘Quality Education’ and SDG 17 ‘Partnership for the Goals’.
